Wide publicity by myself and others led to most European governments withdrawing funding from the so-called curriculum revision and school textbook update by the Palestinian Authority. Over time it became clear that the "new" textbooks were simply more sophisticated in their incitement to hatred than their predecessors. Independent reports by the Prism Group, Funding for Peace Coalition and others showed how rather than leading to peace, these new European funded text books wiped the Jews out of the Middle East; in history, geography, in poetry, grammar, mathematics and, after graduation, by terror, murder and war.
A new report by Palestinian Media Watch shows how the 2006 school year revised books for year 12 continue the tradition. This time, Belgium alone joined Arab states and institutions in funding the call to Jihad.
